Immediate Start Available Mill Machine Operator Required Food Production Quest Employment is currently recruiting for a Mill Machine Operator to join a well-established food production business based in Brackmills, Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous machine operating or production experience who are looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

The role involves operating mill plant equipment, blenders and related machinery to process ingredients accurately and safely within a busy food manufacturing environment.

The Role As a Mill Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating production machinery, following batch instructions and ensuring ingredients are processed to the required specifications. This is a hands-on role involving manual handling, regular heavy lifting and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities Operating and monitoring mills, blenders and production machinery Loading raw materials into machinery Grinding, blending and mixing ingredients according to specifications Following production schedules and batch instructions Carrying out basic quality checks during production Completing production paperwork and documentation accurately Performing routine cleaning of machinery and work areas Supporting basic troubleshooting where required Carrying out manual handling, including regular heavy lifting Following all hygiene, Health & Safety and food safety procedures Working in line with HACCP standards Skills & Experience Required Previous machine operating experience within a factory or production environment Food manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential Very good written and spoken English Ability to read instructions and complete production records Computer literate and comfortable using basic production systems Physically fit and able to carry out regular heavy lifting Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious Ability to work to targets and deadlines Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and as part of a team Pay & Benefits £14.63 per hour Monday to Friday working pattern 06:45 14:45 shift Temporary to permanent opportunity Stable working hours Opportunity to develop skills within a food production environment Support from a dedicated Quest Employment consultant About Quest Employment Quest Employment is a leading UK recruitment agency specialising in industrial, commercial, and technical recruitment.
