Location: Darlington
Rate: 18 per hour (CIS Available)
Contract: Long-term
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm
Benefits: Company van provided (work use only)

We are currently recruiting an experienced Joiner to work on behalf of the council in the Darlington area. This is a long-term opportunity within a busy responsive repairs environment, carrying out high-quality 2nd fix maintenance in domestic properties.

• Carrying out reactive maintenance repairs in occupied homes

• Completing all aspects of 2nd fix joinery, including:

  • Hanging and adjusting doors

  • Replacing skirting boards and architraves

  • Laying flooring

  • Boxing in pipework

  • Other associated joinery maintenance tasks

• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with council requirements

• Delivering a professional and customer-focused service to tenants

• 18 per hour

• Long-term, stable work

• Company van provided for work purposes

• Consistent Monday-Friday working hours

• Opportunity to work on a well-established council contract

• City & Guilds or NVQ qualification in Carpentry or Joinery

• Previous experience working within social housing or council maintenance

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced responsive repairs environment

• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
