Mobile Plant Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Plant Engineer on behalf of a reputable national fleet company based around Dartford. Competitive salary: £38,000 - £41,000 per annum, depending on experience

Duties of the Mobile Plant Engineer:

Servicing and repairing a diverse fleet of utility vehicles, including plant machinery and commercial vans
Conducting routine maintenance such as brakes, clutches, timing belts, suspension, and turbo replacements
Performing occasional gearbox repairs, primarily under warranty
Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer standards and high quality
Managing stock orders through company accounts with pre-approval for external purchases
Supporting emergency response via the on-call rota as required
Maintaining accurate service records and reports
Supporting the company's commitment to delivering reliable and efficient vehicle maintenance

Requirements of the Mobile Plant Engineer:

Level 3 qualified technician or plant mechanic
Proven experience working on commercial vehicles, particularly utility vans and plant machinery
Proficiency in diagnostics, servicing, and repairs for vehicles aged from 6 months to 6 years
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to customer satisfaction
Ability to work independently and as part of a team as a Mobile Plant Engineer
Full UK driving licence
