We’re looking for a driven and commercially focused Land & New Business Manager to play a key role in delivering Moat’s ambitious growth strategy.
You will be responsible for identifying, appraising and securing new development opportunities across land-led schemes, development sites and Section 106 opportunities, ensuring they align with corporate objectives. Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including developers, house builders, funders and strategic partners, you will build and maintain strong relationships, negotiate commercial and contractual terms, assess development viability and risk, and represent Moat at external meetings.
You will also prepare and present detailed business cases and reports for approval by senior leadership, the Executive Team and Board committees.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing residential development opportunities and at least one year's experience in land acquisition or new business development. With strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and negotiate effectively, you will be confident managing multiple opportunities in a fast-paced environment. A good understanding of the planning process, Homes England and GLA funding requirements is essential, alongside the ability to develop successful partnerships and deliver results.
A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are required. A professional qualification such as RICS and a thorough understanding of land-led development, planning and procurement routes would be advantageous but are not essential.
