Operations Manager, Building Maintenance

Utility Infrastructure – our team of Utility Infrastructure specialists design, build and maintain critical water, energy (gas), power and telecoms infrastructure for the UK’s largest network owners and operators. Social Infrastructure – our team of Social Infrastructure specialists revitalises homes and communities by carrying out a wide range of work, from retrofit to refurbishment, and maintenance.

Required. Salary:
Competitive, based on experience. This is a field-based role, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
- Promote and implement a strong SHEQ culture aligned with a “Zero Harm” approach
- Ensure full compliance with SHEQ policies, procedures, and legal requirements
- Carry out regular site audits, inspections, and safety tours
- Complete SHEQ reporting (daily, weekly, monthly), including incidents and KPIs
- Support ISO audits and maintain SHEQ systems and documentation
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety alerts, and briefings to site teams
- Monitor and analyse SHEQ data to identify trends and improvements
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (minimum)
- Experience with in social housing, maintenance, or minor works projects
- Strong knowledge of SHEQ legislation and best practices
- Experience with audits, reporting, and compliance systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, organised, and able to work independently
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office essential; SHEQ systems desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
- TechIOSH membership
- CSCS card
- First Aid / Fire Marshal training
- Asbestos Awareness
