We are recruiting an experienced

Estimator to support the pricing and commercial delivery of construction and planned maintenance projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates and tenders, analysing project requirements and working with operational and commercial teams to ensure competitive and deliverable pricing.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate estimates, tenders and quotations.

Review drawings, specifications, schedules and scopes of work.

Complete detailed take-offs and cost assessments.

Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations.

Identify labour, material, plant and subcontractor costs.

Prepare competitive tender submissions.

Review project risks, exclusions and assumptions.

Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.

Maintain accurate estimating records and cost information.

Support commercial teams with pricing and cost analysis.

Identify opportunities to improve margins and value.

Ensure estimates are accurate and submitted within deadlines.

Proven experience as an

Estimator within construction, refurbishment, planned maintenance or a related sector.

Strong understanding of construction costs, materials and labour.

Experience producing tenders and detailed estimates.

Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and scopes of work.

Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Strong Microsoft Excel and IT skills.

Ability to work to tight deadlines.

Experience with in social housing or planned maintenance.

Experience pricing kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes.

Relevant construction or commercial qualification.

Experience using estimating or quantity surveying software.
