Job Role
Field Service Engineer (Industrial Cleaning Equipment) –
Location:
Dartford, Kent (commutable locations). Salary: £38,000‑£41,000 base (OTE £50,000+).
Hours:
Monday‑Friday, 40 hrs/week, Door‑to‑door paid, overtime 1.5x. Job type:
Full time, Permanent.
The client has partnered with a rapidly expanding organization within the Industrial Cleaning Equipment sector to support the growth of their engineering team. We are looking for a skilled electromechanical engineer who will learn, develop, and progress within the industrial cleaning machinery sector.
Package- 25 days annual leave + public holidays (33 overall)

- Door‑to‑door paid to/from site
- Attend breakdowns, service, and installations on industrial cleaning equipment within an 1‑hour radius.
- Use manual and electrical hand tools, lifting equipment, and hot‑working tools.
- Perform electrical, electronic, mechanical fault‑finding and repairs on industrial cleaning equipment, IG engines (petrol, diesel, LPG).
- Manage time to ensure high‑standard work is completed timely.
- Update job reports and order parts as necessary.
- Ensure H&S procedures are followed.
- Electrical, mechanical fault‑finding, repair & service experience (advantageous).
- Good level of electrical or mechanical knowledge; similar roles may include plant engineer, maintenance engineer, hydraulic engineer, pneumatic engineer, mechanical fitter.
- Relevant qualifications: NVQ or City & Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous).
- Experience using electrical & mechanical tools.
- Previous experience as mechanical, electrical or field‑based engineer on diesel engines and diagnostic tools.
- Full UK Driver’s licence.
