Sunday to Thursday – Full-time, Permanent (5 days/week)

As a
** Master Technician**, you’ll serve as the technical focal point within the depot – providing in-depth diagnostics, leading fault resolution, and supporting both the Engineering Manager and on-site engineers. You will specialise in resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues, particularly in engine systems, gearboxes, axles, CAN lines, Euro 5/6 emissions systems, and hybrid/high-voltage vehicle technologies.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Lead the depot’s complex diagnostics and repairs across mechanical and electrical systems
* Act as the go-to expert for OBD diagnostics and advanced fault finding
* Carry out and guide repairs on engines, axles, gearboxes, emissions systems, electrical faults and hybrid components
* Support, mentor, and develop engineers and apprentices in diagnostic techniques
* Liaise directly with the Engineering Manager and Technical Manager on high-level technical matters
* Lead technical campaigns, fleet checks, and engineering trials
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, suppliers, and manufacturers### ###

* What We’re Looking For:

**
* ** NVQ Level 3
** in relevant motor vehicle or engineering discipline
* Strong experience with
** diagnostic software** (e.g., Cummins Insite, Volvo Tech Tool, ACTIA, WABCO, Xentry)
* PCV License
* EV Bus Experience
* Excellent understanding of
** electrical systems** (including alternators, wiring harnesses, control units)
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
* Flexible, solutions-focused approach with the ability to adapt to evolving priorities
* Valid
** UK driving licence** (max 6 points)
* Willingness to undergo and pass a
** PCV medical
*** Familiarity with
** DVSA/Operating Licence
