An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic finance leader to join our organisation as Director of Finance – Financial Management and Planning.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this senior leadership role is responsible for leading the Trust's financial management, planning and performance functions, ensuring the organisation delivers its financial objectives while supporting the provision of high-quality patient care.
The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership across financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, business partnering and efficiency delivery. You will oversee the annual planning process, provide expert financial advice to the Board and senior management teams, lead complex financial analyses and negotiations, and support major service developments and transformational programmes.

- Lead the development and delivery of the Trust's annual financial planning process and long-term financial plans.
- Prepare and coordinate the Trust's annual financial plan, ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the production of high-quality monthly financial reports, forecasts and performance analyses for the Board, Executive Team and relevant committees.
- Provide expert financial advice and support to the Board, Executive Directors, senior managers and budget holders.
- Develop and maintain strong business partnering arrangements across all services and directorates.
- Ensure the provision of a high‑quality financial management service that supports effective operational and strategic decision‑making.
- Lead the financial assessment of major service developments, transformation programmes and investment proposals.
- Develop detailed option appraisals and business cases, providing robust analysis and recommendations to support decision‑making.
Oxleas offers a wide range of NHS healthcare services to people in community and secure environment settings. Our services include community health care such as district nursing and speech and language therapy, care for people with learning disabilities and mental health care such as psychiatry, nursing and therapies. Our multidisciplinary teams look after people of all ages and we work in close partnership with other parts of the NHS, local councils and the voluntary sector and through our new provider collaboratives.
