To provide a dietetic service to paediatric patients and their carers in a variety of settings as a member of the paediatric dietetic team, supported by the Band 7 Paediatric Dietitians.

The post will be based at Darent Valley Hospital covering hospital in-patients and general paediatric out-patient clinics at both Darent Valley Hospital and Queen Mary's Hospital.

To provide specialist nutrition and dietetic advice and education to paediatric patients, relatives and carers for a range of conditions.

Main duties of the job
  • To provide a high quality dietetic service to paediatric in-patients and outpatients, planning and prioritising workload, as part of a flexible paediatric dietetic team responding to service demands.
  • To be responsible for hospital paediatric dietetic clinics covering a variety of clinical conditions, for example faltering growth, allergy, feeding difficulties and special needs requiring nutritional support.
  • To be a specialist dietitian within your clinical area contributing to ward rounds, multi-disciplinary team meetings and case conferences.
