Role: HR Manager - Dartford

This HR Manager role is ideal for someone looking to lead a full HR function and shape people and culture in a growing organisation. It combines strategic thinking with hands-on involvement, giving genuine influence across the business.

You'll provide practical, commercially minded HR support to managers and employees, ensuring strong, consistent people processes. Leading the HR team and overseeing Health & Safety and Hospitality, the role involves cross-functional collaboration and a broad remit.

Key responsibilities include partnering with managers to guide and coach them, shaping HR strategy, improving organisational capability, developing policies and processes, managing recruitment and performance, and supporting leadership with change, restructures, and employee relations.

The role offers variety-from day-to-day HR support to cultural initiatives and international HR projects-and suits someone who can balance operational demands with long-term improvements while building trusted relationships across all levels.

Key Responsibilities

Provide generalist HR support and advice to managers and employees
Lead, motivate and develop the HR team
Oversee Health & Safety and Hospitality teams
Design and deliver the company's HR strategy
Coach managers to ensure consistent, effective people practices
Support policy development and ongoing process improvement
Manage workforce planning and all recruitment stages
Own the performance management cycle, contributing to succession planning
Lead on employee relations, organisational change and compliance
Monitor HR performance and provide KPI-based insights
Support delivery of group-wide HR projects

Skills & Experience

Proven experience leading an HR function with strategic and operational responsibilities
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
Confident managing and developing teams
Skilled at coaching and influencing stakeholders at all levels

Experience with HRIS systems and data-driven reporting
Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills
Able to manage sensitive situations with balance and confidence
Degree-qualified with MCIPD (or equivalent experience)
