Technical Support Engineer
Main purpose of job:
To provide technical support to all customers on all Kentec products, both in the UK and Rest of World. To provide technical support to Kentec staff on all Kentec products.

Main duties- To provide telephone, email and field support to customers and Kentec staff
- To log calls onto the call logging system (CRM).
- To liaise with and support the Hochiki Global Technical Support Team.
- To report any problems related to the product or documentation gained from technical support correspondence.
- To assist in the validation of new Kentec products, to ensure they meet customer requirements.
- To assist in the preparation and verification of technical documentation for Kentec products
- To keep up to date with current technologies in the fire industry.
- To keep up to date with product standards.
- To provide suggestions and ideas for new products or enhancements to current products.
- Good communication and people skills.
- Understanding of Kentecs products portfolio is advantageous (full training given to the right candidate).
- Familiar with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Interest and knowledge of basic electronics and microprocessor-based technology is important.
- Understanding of Kentecs software configuration tool (Loop Explorer) is advantageous.
- Working hours:
08:30-17:00 (08:30 16:00 Friday) - 24 days holiday, in addition to bank holidays, increasing with the years of service.
