Marble Grange Group is delighted to be supporting a leading organisation in the search for an experienced Senior Solutions Architect.

This is an excellent opportunity for an architect who enjoys working across a broad technology landscape, solving complex business challenges and influencing strategic technology decisions.

The Role

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you’ll provide architectural leadership across a diverse technology environment, translating business objectives into robust, scalable and practical technology solutions.

You’ll work across the full architecture lifecycle — from understanding business and technical requirements through to defining current and target architectures, carrying out gap analysis, developing transition roadmaps and supporting delivery.

Key Responsibilities

* Translate business requirements and objectives into effective solution architectures.

* Define current-state and target-state architectures across applications, platforms, data and technology.

* Conduct gap analysis to identify technology, capability and architectural gaps.

* Develop practical roadmaps and transition plans to move from current to target state.

* Produce solution designs, architectural blueprints, standards and technology roadmaps.

* Lead solution architecture from discovery and design through to implementation.

* Evaluate technology options, considering cost, risk, scalability, resilience and business value.

* Provide core solution architecture across applications, integration, APIs, data, cloud and infrastructure.

* Ensure solutions meet key non-functional requirements including security, performance, availability and maintainability.

* Identify architectural risks, dependencies and opportunities for technology improvement.

* Support architecture governance and alignment with wider enterprise standards.

* Work closely with Enterprise Architecture, engineering, security, data, product and delivery teams.

* Communicate architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

* Proven experience as a Senior Solutions Architect or in a similar architecture role.

* Strong experience across multiple technologies, platforms and environments.

* Demonstrable experience with current and target-state architecture.

* Strong gap analysis, roadmap and transition planning capabilities.

* Solid understanding of core solution architecture principles and methodologies.

* Experience designing complex solutions across applications, integration, data and technology.

* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

* Excellent communication skills at both technical and senior business levels.

* Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, outcome-focused approach.

* Ability to balance long-term architecture strategy with immediate delivery needs.

* Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgement and intellectual curiosity.
