Job Description & How to Apply Below
A leading international fresh produce business based in Dartford is looking to appoint a Supply Chain Coordinator to support the movement of fruit from packhouse to customer.
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, Production Planning & Inventory, you will coordinate stock availability, customer forecasts, packing requirements and logistics. Working closely with sales, sourcing, warehouse and operational teams, you will ensure customer orders are planned and supplied accurately within a fast-paced, perishable product environment.
The Role
* Maintain accurate inventory records, monitoring inbound deliveries, on-site stock movements and outbound orders.
* Coordinate product storage, packing and distribution to meet customer requirements.
* Maintain customer forecasts and monitor forecast accuracy to support stock planning.
* Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure the correct pallets are allocated and prepared for dispatch.
* Plan product availability against sales volumes, responding to vessel changes and other supply disruptions.
* Communicate daily and weekly requirements, including fruit size, grade, packaging, labelling, country of origin and volume changes.
* Coordinate inbound containers, transport, documentation and customs clearance.
* Support inventory control systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 and offline records.
* Improve processes, develop standard operating procedures and build effective relationships with suppliers and customers.
About You
You will have a minimum of five years’ experience within supply chain or inventory management, ideally gained within fresh produce, food or another perishable industry.
Strong Excel skills are essential, including the ability to develop and adapt spreadsheets, analyse data and troubleshoot issues. You will also bring ERP implementation skills, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience beneficial.
You will be organised, accurate and confident managing changing priorities under pressure, with strong communication skills and a practical approach to solving problems.
Working Pattern
This is a full-time, on-site position working five days per week with two days off. Regular weekend working is required, so flexibility is essential. Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) is provided for weekend and bank holiday working where required.
What’s on Offer
* £34,600 per annum.
* 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
