Location:
UK Based, ideally commutable to London Salary: £110,000 + Performance-Based Incentives, Car Allowance / Vehicle
Project Director required for a growing international power and energy business delivering complex power generation and infrastructure projects. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing multiple projects while building and developing the Project Management function to support continued growth.
The successful candidate will have significant experience delivering complex, high-value projects, leading project teams and managing programme, cost, risk and commercial performance. Experience with in power generation, energy, EPC, industrial construction or major infrastructure would be highly advantageous.
Project Director Job Overview- Lead and develop the Project Management function
- Recruit, mentor and develop Project Managers
- Provide senior oversight across multiple international projects
- Maintain control of programme, cost, risk and commercial performance
- Establish consistent project management processes and reporting
- Act as the senior escalation point for major project and client issues
- Drive improvements across project delivery, commissioning and handover
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and delivery partners
- Work closely with Commercial, Finance, Procurement and Technical teams
- Maintain visibility of international projects and site teams
Job Requirements
- Significant senior project, programme or operational leadership experience
- Experience building and developing Project Management teams
- Strong commercial awareness across budgets, contracts, risk and cost control
- Experience managing multiple projects and multidisciplinary teams
- International project experience
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Practical, decisive and solutions-focused approach
- Power generation, energy, EPC, industrial construction or infrastructure experience advantageous
- Willingness to travel overseas approximately 1–2 weeks per month, including regular travel to Ukraine
- Ideally based within a commutable distance of London
- Performance-based incentives
