We re recruiting for a well-established, highly respected international manufacturer operating within a regulated production environment. This is a permanent opportunity on their PM shift offering long-term stability, excellent benefits and a strong engineering culture.
This is not a production line only role. You ll support a technically diverse site including production plant, utilities, wastewater systems and wider building services across two nearby buildings.
The Role
This is a true multi-skilled position with a 60% mechanical / 40% electrical split working within a regulated manufacturing environment with 24/5 operation and state of the art facilities!
You ll be responsible for:
- Planned preventative maintenance (managed flexibly across the month)
- Electrical and mechanical breakdown fault-finding
- Supporting critical plant equipment
- Maintaining pumps, valves, dosing systems and wastewater treatment equipment
- Attending facilities issues across production, labs and offices
- Supporting small improvement and project work throughout the year
- Accurate documentation via CMMS
- Working within strict quality, safety and compliance standards
This is a reactive and planned environment when something stops, you respond. When it s stable, you improve.
The Environment
- 24/5 manufacturing operation
- Permanent PM shift after initial training (approx. 6 weeks onboarding on rotating/early shift)
- Job share arrangement with the AM shift engineer
- Rare requirement to cover alternative shifts (AM or nights) in exceptional circumstances
- Strong focus on GMP, quality and safety compliance
- Engineering team with a mix of personalities you ll need to be comfortable working independently and integrating into a varied team dynamic
We re Looking For
- City & Guilds / ONC / HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Level 3 minimum
- Strong multi-skilled capability (mechanical bias but confident electrically)
- Experience with in pharma, FMCG, food, chemical, or other regulated/process manufacturing environments
- Proven fault-finding ability on production equipment
- Experience working with pumps, motors, valves, dosing systems or utilities
- Comfortable working alone and as part of a team
- Organised, proactive and safety conscious

The Package
- Basic salary up to £52,000
- 20% shift premium (PM shift)
- 6% company performance bonus (paid in most years, but not guaranteed)
