The Special Applications production team are looking for an enthusiastic assembly operator to learn the techniques used for the assembly of various custom built life safety control and indication panels. The applicant would be expected to be able to read electrical schematics and understand mechanical design drawings, a prior knowledge to the assembly of standard Kentec product using PAF’s would be preferable.
Responsibilities- Work with the Team to create wiring harnesses and assemble custom designed CIE, training can be given.
- Use basic problem‑solving skills to ensure production requirements are met.
- Report problems or concerns with the team leader.
- Observe, maintain, coordinate and complete a good standard of work.
- Follow documented policies and procedures as designated by the company.
- Follow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
- Health and Safety in the workplace.
- Ability to follow instructions and diagrams.
- Working to tight deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work with various hand tools and power tools, such as; drills, pop rivets, crimp tools, etc.
- Solder trained preferred, but training can be given.
- Good communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is desirable
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Working hours:
Monday-Thursday: 08:00-16:30, Friday: 08:00-15:30 - 24 days holiday, in addition to bank holidays, increasing with the years of service.
