Role Overview
The UTC team is looking to recruit a Band 7 Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Emergency Care Practitioner to complement our existing team. The role involves providing a complete package of care to minor injury/illness patients whilst working under pressure within a team of Practitioners, ensuring a seamless high standard of service provision over 16 hours of the day.
Responsibilities- Work within a team of Practitioners to ensure seamless high standard of service provision.
- Provide excellent patient care and contribute to staff development with a desire to promote change and quality throughout the team.
- Assess and stream the full range of patients presenting to a busy Urgent Treatment Centre.
- Co‑ordinate delivery of care for patients in the Urgent Treatment Centre (predominantly Minors and Paediatric area) from streaming assessment to treatment, discharge or referral.
- Work autonomously and as part of a multi‑professional team in a fast‑paced environment, delivering emergency care to patients across the entire age continuum with minor injuries/illness.
- Adhere to local service protocols and policies.
- Band 7 Emergency Nurse Practitioner or Emergency Care Practitioner qualification.
- Proven background in minor injury/illness or Primary care.
- Ability to assess and manage minor injury/illness patients under pressure.
