The post holder will provide leadership for Oxleas safeguarding adult and Prevent policies and procedures including assurance that the trust is compliant with all statutory requirements under legislation.

The post holder will have a key responsibility for the coordination, management, implementation and monitoring of the trust’s strategy for safeguarding adults.

The post holder will monitor safeguarding adult activity, developing robust consistent safeguarding practice in line with best practice and statutory requirements.

The post holder will provide expert advice, supervision and support on safeguarding adult matters, working together with liaising with key professionals and partner agencies.

The post holder will actively contribute towards the quality and assurance agenda including training, audit, collection and analysis of relevant data.

The post holder will contribute to Safeguarding children practice reviews, Domestic homicide reviews, Safeguarding Adult reviews, Learning reviews and Serious incident investigations.

The post holder will work in close partnership with external stakeholders towards ensuring effective safeguarding arrangements.

The post holder will lead and have line management responsibility for Specialist safeguarding nurses/ practitioners.

Oxleas offers a wide range of NHS healthcare services to people in community and secure environment settings. Our services include community health care such as district nursing and speech and language therapy, care for people with learning disabilities and mental health care such as psychiatry, nursing and therapies.   • To contribute to Safeguarding children practice reviews, Domestic homicide reviews, Safeguarding adult reviews and other types of reviews including investigating and writing the Individual Management Reviews for the Trust
  • To provide safeguarding children specialist advice and support to the investigation of serious incidents, internal case reviews and any complaints
