Sales Admin & Support Assistant (Contract)

An experienced and personable Sales Administrator will be the first point of contact for customers at a manufacturing company. This role is essential for supporting the Sales team and ensuring a positive customer experience.

The successful candidate will work with a busy line of business, answering calls, providing product information and supporting sales activity across a 14‑month fixed‑term contract.

• Answer inbound telephone calls and route them efficiently.
• Gather accurate information from callers and direct queries to the appropriate department.
• Maintain product knowledge; assist customers via phone and email.
• Accurately file and archive electronic records.
• Create quotes and process sales orders.
• Follow up quotations and support projects.
• Provide general support to Sales team members.
• Carry out ad‑hoc duties as required.

• Confidence and professional telephone manner.
• Reliability, self‑motivation and organisational ability.
• Strong communication and listening skills with internal and external contacts.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Project or account management experience is advantageous.
• Calm under pressure, problem‑solving mindset.
• Proficiency with MS Word/Excel and willingness to learn bespoke systems.
• Working knowledge of Sage (S.O.P) and export procedures advantageous.
