Your RoleOur operation based in Dartford is looking for a Transport Clerk to ensure that the transport administration operational activities effectively and efficiently meet and exceed customer and CEVA expectations.
The shift times for this role are 10:00 to 18:30. The salary will be £27,276.60 per annum plus an additional 5% London Weighting.
What are you going to do?- Ensure accurate and effective management of traffic administration office duties in accordance with legislation and operational work instructions
- Contribute to achieving all contractual KPIs with particular emphasis on POD accuracy, fleet utilisation and cost control
- Ensure all administrative and IT functions are completed in line with company policy and procedures and client requirements
- Produce reports as requested by contract supervisors and/or managers
- Handle incoming/outgoing telephone calls politely and confidently, using initiative to resolve situations
- Ensure all Lean requirements are met, including 5S
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, cleanliness and tidiness throughout the working environment
- Attend developmental training as required in compliance with the company’s Investors in People Standard
- Strong organisational skills and experience in a fast-paced transport office environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, client-focused approach, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Desirable experience in Transport Management Systems
- Solid understanding of Microsoft packages
