Freight Forwarder
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm or 8:00am - 5:00pm
We're recruiting for an experienced Freight Forwarder to join a busy and growing logistics team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in road freight, carrier management, or freight forwarding who enjoys building strong relationships and finding transport solutions across Europe.

Key Responsibilities
 
* Source and develop relationships with road freight carriers, owner drivers and subcontractors across the European market.
 
* Build and maintain a reliable network of transport providers for both dedicated and spot freight movements.
 
* Use freight exchange platforms such as Timocom, Teleroute, Trans and Cool Load to source transport solutions.
 
* Manage and maintain an extensive carrier database, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
 
* Qualify and audit transport providers, ensuring compliance and service standards are met.
 
* Work closely with internal teams to support quotations, tenders and transport solutions for customers.
 
* Develop strong relationships with carriers through regular communication, reviews and ongoing account management.
 
* Provide operational support and market knowledge to the wider business when required.
What We're Looking For
 
* Previous experience within freight forwarding, transport planning, logistics or carrier management.
 
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
 
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
 
* A proactive and commercially minded approach.
 
* Knowledge of European road freight would be advantageous.
