HGV Class 2 Driver

Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: 50 hours per week – approximately 10 hours per day
Start Time: 05:00/06:00
Contract: Full-time

Our client is looking for a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 (Category

C) Driver to join their busy operation in Dartford.

The role involves multi-drop collections from retail stores
, with goods transported back to a commercial site. As part of the role, you will also collect
coins from machines at customer locations
, so a professional and trustworthy approach is essential.

• Carry out scheduled collections from retail stores and other customer locations.
• Collect coins from machines at designated sites and transport them safely to the commercial site.
• Complete multi-drop routes efficiently and professionally.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects immediately.
• Ensure goods and collected items are loaded, secured and handled safely.
• Complete all required paperwork, delivery/collection records, PODs and tachograph records.
• Communicate with the transport office regarding delays, route changes or any issues.
• Keep the vehicle clean, tidy and presentable.
• Follow all road traffic, health & safety, drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• On occasions, you may be required to work away in different areas of the country to provide holiday or sickness cover.

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category
  
  C) licence
  .
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  .
• Good geographical knowledge or confidence using a navigation system.
• Professional attitude with excellent customer service skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• A full DBS check will be required.
• Previous experience working at retail, trade, industrial or commercial sites.
• Experience using tail lifts and pallet trucks

• Previous experience handling collections or cash/coin-related duties would be advantageous.

• £40,000 per annum
