** We’re adding a Junior Financial Accountant to our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. At Atlantica, a member of The Cahill Group of companies, we execute commercial and industrial construction projects and services in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

* You have strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft programs, as well as Accounting software (experience with Jonas is an asset)

** What will you do as the Junior Financial Accountant?
** Reporting to the Director of Finance and working in an exciting and collaborative environment, you will:
* Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and associated work papers for review and submission to stakeholders.
* Reconcile intercompany balances between related parties including divisions, companies, and joint ventures.
* Perform weekly bank reconciliations
* Reconcile and post monthly credit card purchases in general ledger
* Review outstanding Purchase Orders with project managers and close out completed purchase orders
* Address external auditor requests by providing reports, samples, and supporting documentation for requested transactions
* Monitor accounts receivable process, including reviewing and reporting on outstanding balances, communicating with clients and internal parties to facilitate payment and taking credit card payments
* Support accounts payable team as needed
* Other Finance and Accounting duties as assigned
