Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their office in Dartmouth on an anticipated three‑month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AP professional who enjoys focused, high‑volume processing work while applying sound judgment and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Process invoices across multiple different programs
- Accurately code and enter invoices
- Allocate expenses to the appropriate programs
- Apply program‑specific funding guidelines and requirements when processing payments
- Verify invoice details and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or coding issues as required
- Maintain organized electronic records and documentation
- Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding invoice approvals, payment status, and account inquiries
- Support month‑end processes and other accounting‑related tasks as assigned
- Previous accounts payable or accounting administration experience
- Experience with Quick Books Online is considered a strong asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently in a high‑volume environment
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
