DXP | HSE Integrated is seeking experienced Safety Advisors for two industrial plant shutdown in northern NB. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, be organized and have great communication skills. The Safety Advisor is to ensure the safe operation of the project, jobsite and day-to-day activities of the client and its contractors. The Safety Advisor is to know, advise, and enforce the Client’s and Contractor’s OH&S programs, OH&S policies, company rules, and the provincial Occupational Health and Safety Act as applicable to the Client’s operation.

- Location: Project site is located in Florenceville, NB
- Project Dates
:
Approximately, August 11, 2026 – August 24, 2026 - Hours: 12 hours per day, 7 days per week.
- Rate: $35-$40+ per hour based on experience

Approximately, July 27, 2026 – January 30, 2027 - Hours: 8-10 hours per day, 5-7 days per week.

Responsibilities on both projects will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide support to the project team on the ground on OH&S matters.
- Address and communicate immediately any unsafe practices observed on site.
- Liaison with the Client and their contractors regarding health and safety issues on site.
- Conduct OH&S inspections during project work to assess the worksite for unsafe acts and conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Advise OH&S issues and potential non-compliance concerns with respect to Provincial OH&S Act/Regulations.
- Monitor the safety performance of contractors. Advise the Client and contractor on issues or concerns and recommend ways to resolve issues.
- Assist Client and contractor with incident investigations, including near misses.
- Attend site toolbox meetings, field level hazard assessments, etc to determine effectiveness and confirm documentation of same.
- Review site documentation to ensure compliance with the OH&S Program.
- Maintain OH&S inspection records for the project.
- Other related duties as determined in consultation with Client.

- CSO, CSS, NCSO, CHSC, CRSP, GSC or other OH&S accreditation considered an asset
- A valid, unrestricted Driver’s License (Please note, a valid license does not include a Learner’s Permit or Graduated License)
- A Driver's Abstract indicating an unrestricted license with no serious traffic safety violations and 4 or less convictions of any type in the last 36 months
- Minimum of 5 years construction related OH&S experience
- Extensive knowledge of the safety industry and its policies, job procedures as well as applicable Acts, regulations, standards and codes of practice
- Demonstrate leadership, coaching, mentoring and troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrate effective communication with management and workers regarding OH&S
- Additional training and certifications may be necessary to meet client specifications
