Conveniently located in the historic Stern Building, Alderney Dental has been serving the Dartmouth community since 1982. Our modern dental office combines the historic charm of our building with advanced dental technology, such as intraoral cameras, panoramic and digital x-rays.
We are a busy and established family-oriented practice located in the heart of Downtown Dartmouth, conveniently on a major bus route and across the street from the ferry terminal, making us easy to locate and close to many great restaurants and parks.
Schedule:- Full time
- Monday - Friday
- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- No evenings or weekends

- Welcome and assist patients upon arrival, creating a warm and positive first impression
- Optimize the daily appointment schedule to ensure full utilization with minimal gaps
- Effectively manage the recall system and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records
- Handle incoming patient calls and inquiries, including appointment scheduling, confirmations, changes, and cancellations
- Process referral letters and other patient correspondence from providers; organize, manage, and file all patient records and charts
- Proactively manage potential cancellations and address objections to encourage patients to keep their appointments
- Complete patient billing following treatment, process payments, submit insurance claims, and respond to fee inquiries in a professional and positive manner
- Minimum 1 year of Dental Administration experience is required
- Experience with Abledent dental software programs is required
- Clinical background is considered an asset
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada
