Montebello Medical is an established community-based family practice located in Dartmouth. The clinic provides comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population and operates in a team-based environment with experienced administrative staff and clinic infrastructure.

Montebello Medical currently has three family physicians on site and is seeking one physician to join the practice. The incoming physician is expected to absorb an existing patient panel to support continuity of care.

The practice uses Telus Med Access EMR. On-site parking is available.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Examine patients and take histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures
• Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
• Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners
• Act as a patient’s advocate
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
• Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
