Empower Nova Scotia’s 911 Call Takers as a Training Coordinator. Oversee the training program that prepares personnel for effective emergency response and communication.
As a 911 Training Coordinator for the Department of Emergency Management, you’ll play a crucial role in training and evaluating Call Takers. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree accompanied by five years of related experience, especially in program coordination and training facilitation. Enhanced 911 and NG911 call-handling knowledge is a valuable asset for the candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement training programs for Call Takers
• Facilitate coaching and on-the-job training sessions
• Provide in-classroom refresher courses yearly
• Share quiet and timely updates through training bulletins
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience
• Familiarity with Enhanced 911 and NG911 solutions
• Skilled in Microsoft Office tools
• Proven verbal and written communication abilities
• Facilitation and training program development experience
Contribute to Nova Scotia's emergency response capabilities by enhancing the training of vital Call Takers.
