Position: Dartmouth 911 Training Program Coordinator
Join the Department of Emergency Management as a 911 Training Coordinator in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Lead the development of training programs for 911 Call Takers in this permanent role.

In the role of 911 Training Coordinator, you will shape the training experiences of a vital team responsible for public safety. You will provide comprehensive classroom and on-the-job training, evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives, and maintain updated training protocols to support call-takers' readiness during emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-classroom training for new call takers

• Assess and monitor on-the-job training effectiveness

• Provide refresher courses and updates for current staff

• Develop training updates based on procedural changes

• Partner with other teams to enhance training practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with five years in training roles

• Experience with Enhanced 911 systems

• Strong skills in communication and facilitation

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools

• Ability to work independently and proactively

Contribute to the safety of Nova Scotians by leading effective training programs for emergency call-taking in Dartmouth.
