Become a vital part of emergency response as the 911 Training Coordinator in Nova Scotia. Utilize classroom and on-the-job training to prepare call takers for urgent, high-demand situations.
This role is key in shaping the skills of newly hired and returning 911 Call Takers. You will deliver in-classroom evaluations, follow up with on-the-job coaching, and provide refresher training. Your work ensures that each call taker is equipped to connect citizens with essential emergency services effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct in-classroom and on-the-job training for 911 Call Takers
• Evaluate both new and returning call takers post-training
• Prepare ongoing training bulletins on procedural updates
• Facilitate refresher training sessions as required
• Document feedback on training effectiveness
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree and five years in training coordination
• Experience with Enhanced 911 and NG911 systems
• Strong understanding of adult education principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills
Support 911 Emergency Services in Nova Scotia through effective training and preparedness initiatives.
