HRCE Early Childhood Education Lead

Shape the future of early education as the Regional Lead for the Pre-Primary Program ng your expertise in early childhood development to support school leaders.

Serving over 60,000 students, the Halifax Regional Centre for Education is looking for a dedicated Pre-Primary Program Regional Lead. You will work closely with school administrators to deliver a play-based early learning curriculum that is equitable and accessible. This position requires an individual capable of enhancing the effectiveness of the Pre-Primary Program across multiple school sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with principals on implementing the Pre-Primary Program

• Provide pedagogical support and training for educators

• Support in the hiring and evaluation of PPP staff

• Ensure compliance with the Nova Scotia Early Learning Curriculum

• Foster an inclusive and diverse learning environment

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood development

• Minimum five years of experience with preschoolers

• At least two years in a management or leadership position

• Relevant certifications in First Aid

• Experience in a unionized public sector is beneficial
