Sprinkler Designer Job Dartmouth area,Nova Scotia Canada,Engineering

Life Safety Systems, a division of Atlantica, is looking for a Sprinkler Designer to join our team in our Dartmouth, NS office. The Sprinkler Designer will play a crucial role in developing accurate and efficient designs for fire sprinkler systems in a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial spaces.

This may be a good fit for you if:

You have experience in fire protection sprinkler design or related field.

You’re proficient with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Hydra

CAD).

You have strong attention to detail with the ability to identify potential design issues proactively.

You’re an effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients.

It would also be an asset if you have knowledge of NFPA standards and a NICET Certification in Water-Based System Layout.

What will you do as a Sprinkler Designer?

Develop detailed fire sprinkler system designs, layouts, and hydraulic calculations using design software (such as AutoCAD, Hydra

CAD, Revit, etc.).

Ensure designs meet all relevant codes, including NFPA standards, local fire codes, and client specifications.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to incorporate project requirements into designs.

Conduct site surveys as needed to verify site conditions and incorporate them into design plans.

Prepare submittals, material lists, and documentation for project approval and installation.

Provide technical support to installation teams to ensure adherence to design specifications.

Maintain accurate project records and documentation for reference and future projects.
