Environmental Project Coordinator in Nova Scotia

This role reports to the Director of Landfill Operations and Environmental Compliance. You will perform environmental inspections, collect samples, and track performance indicators. Collaboration with various stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and site personnel, is key to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct environmental inspections and compliance monitoring

• Collect and analyze soil, water, and leachate samples

• Develop and track environmental performance indicators

• Enhance GFL's Environmental Best Management Practices

• Assist with emergency response planning for incidents

Requirements:

• Degree in science or engineering

• 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred

• Experience collaborating with regulators

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

• Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel
