Position: Certification Officer for Naval Vessels
Drive certification processes for the Royal Canadian Navy's Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessels as a Certification Officer. Ensure compliance through effective communication with teams and Classification Society.
As a key member of the Certification team, the Certification Officer oversees certification activities under the AOPS & JSS In-Service Support contract. This role involves engaging with the Classification Society and advising on certification for maintenance and engineering aspects. You will be the primary contact for DND departments and internal teams dealing with certification matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and manage all re-certification activities

• Enhance management processes for certificate renewals

• Support periodic and annual surveys with stakeholders

• Maintain a tracker for all certification issues

• Liaise with Classification Society personnel during surveys
Requirements:

• Understanding of Classification Society regulations

• Experience with IACS and IMO standards

• Five years in vessel surveying or maintenance

• Marine Engineer certificate or equivalent

• University degree in marine engineering or related field
