Halifax IV&V Expert at Weir

Weir Canada is hiring an IV&V Expert for their Halifax, NS location. This permanent position, focusing on independent validation and evaluation, supports the River Class Destroyer Test Program.

As a permanent, full-time specialist, you will execute various Verification and Validation activities at the Hartlen Point facility while also assisting in project areas like Model-Based Systems Engineering. Evaluating test plans and ensuring compliance with acceptance criteria is essential, along with maintaining positive collaborations with stakeholders. Your analytical skills will play a key role in achieving project goals throughout the lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate Verification & Validation activities for programs

• Analyze evaluation data and provide summary reports

• Develop IV&V plans and support decision-making processes

• Advise on Test and Trials coordination

• Assess test environments for suitability and integrity

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant military experience

• Security clearance requires 10 years of residence in Canada

• Understanding of Systems Engineering and Verification techniques

• Experience in defence or Naval systems preferred

• Proficient in English for technical communication
