Position: Thales Naval Architect Student Role
Join Thales Canada as a Naval Architect Intern in Halifax for Fall 2026, supporting the technical needs of the Royal Canadian Navy. Gain practical experience and enhance your engineering skills.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Naval Architect student to work alongside professional engineers and technical specialists. This hybrid position involves supporting in-service support programs, aiding in the investigation of ship systems, and managing technical documentation updates. You'll be engaged in influencing the technical success of naval operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough investigations on ship equipment issues

• Validate and prepare essential technical data packages

• Aid in the updates of design and engineering documentation

• Execute risk assessments and failure analyses

• Collaborate on assessments for lifting appliance certifications

Requirements:

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Naval Architecture at a Canadian University

• Prior experience in technical report preparation is a plus

• Must be eligible for security clearances

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office required

• Availability for on-site work in dockyards and at sea
