Your role will include fire program delivery and code enforcement within Nunavik’s communities.
The KRG's Civil Security Department is hiring a Public Safety Technician to work closely with municipal fire brigades and enhance emergency preparedness. This position involves developing outreach programs, conducting inspections, and coordinating training for local firefighters. Strong communication skills and a good command of fire safety regulations are critical for success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and promote fire prevention programs for communities
• Verify the inspection and testing of fire systems
• Conduct thorough fire investigations and prepare reports
• Establish fire intervention plans with local brigades
• Offer training and technical support for municipal firefighters
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary education in Fire Prevention
• Two years of experience in fire safety
• Understanding of fire safety codes and software tools
• Excellent bilingual communication skills
• Must be willing to travel regularly in Nunavik
Support vital fire safety initiatives with KRG while making a real difference in community preparedness.
