Selection Criteria
- Licensed or eligible for licensure with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN)
- A minimum of 3 years emergency nursing experience required
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- CTAS (Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale) required
- Current RQI BLS or, BLS-C (Basic Life Support –
C) required - Current RQI ALS or, ACLS – (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
- Current RQI PALS or, PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); EPICC – Pediatrics (Emergency Practice, Interventions and Care – Canada) or ENPC (Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course) required
- Trauma course – EPICC - Trauma (Emergency Practice, Interventions and Care – Canada);
Rural Trauma Program or TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required - Emergency Nursing Program or Critical Care Nursing Program an asset
- ENC (C) Certification an asset

Compensation and Benefits
$40.55 - $49.99 hourly plus 15% (RN02TN
/NUR
006TN
)
$51.74 with 25 years’ experience, plus the above premium
11% in lieu of benefits will be added to the total hourly rate as listed above for casual relief position.
