Position: Full-Time Health Care Social Worker

In this permanent position, you will report to the Provincial Manager - Intake Mental Health and Addictions Program. Your work will include client assessment, screening tool application, and facilitating access to vital community resources. By providing brief supportive counseling, you'll help clients navigate their mental health journeys effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct clinical triage and risk assessment for clients

• Utilize screening tools for effective intake processes

• Build lasting relationships with clients for effective support

• Navigate barriers to access mental health and addictions services

• Communicate with community resources for client referrals

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work required

• Registration with Nova Scotia College of Social Workers

• Three years of related mental health experience

• Expertise in motivational interviewing and crisis support

• Knowledge of community resources and recovery-oriented practices
