ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Information Technology Department works closely with library branches and departments to provide relevant, reliable and timely service. We support access to the library collection through the Integrated Library System, and provide public and staff access to PCs, laptops, iMacs, iPads, Wi-Fi, printing, and gaming. We support productivity software, educational and entertainment applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
This position will be assigned a Mobile Device Management focus area. This includes:

Configuration profilesCompliance
Manage user accounts Create and oversee Exchange online mailboxes
Configure permissions for Teams and Share Point
Education and Experience:
Lifting and moving of heavy weight or awkward objects
Frequent manual dexterity required for use of basic office and technology equipment (i.e. computers)
Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching and reaching
Focus and attention to details (e.g. computer use, reading or inputting data, report writing, reading)
Considerable computer use more than 50% of the time
Handling upset customers and customers who present behavioural challenges
Focus and attention to details (e.g. learning new technology skills, resolving staff IT issues)
Deals with emergency situations.
The job will require occasional travel between our various library branches and community sites within the Halifax Regional Municipality. Access to reliable transportation is necessary.
