Supply Technician 2

Join the Government of Nova Scotia as a Supply Technician 2 in Dartmouth. This permanent role focuses on inventory management, procurement, and supporting warehouse operations for surplus government assets.

In this position, you will ensure efficient inventory operations while maintaining accurate records through the Archibus Inventory Control Program. You will handle purchasing, manage storage, oversee asset inspections, and coordinate surplus disposals. Your informed decisions will support operational needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and issue purchase orders using inventory systems

• Manage goods requests to reduce administrative costs

• Verify order accuracy while receiving shipments

• Pick materials for projects based on inventory requirements

• Supervise inventory counts to maintain accuracy

Requirements:

• High school diploma plus relevant post-secondary training

• 5 years of related experience in a buyer role

• Forklift Certification or ability to obtain

• Strong computer skills in Microsoft and inventory systems

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
