The Halifax Regional Centre for Education is accepting applications for casual custodians to ensure the daily cleaning and maintenance of school facilities. This position involves executing a variety of cleaning tasks and minor repairs while adhering to safety regulations. Most shifts are scheduled during the evening hours, providing flexible work for your schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain school facilities and grounds

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum all surfaces effectively

• Manage waste collection and disposal processes

• Supply and sanitize restrooms and public areas

• Notify supervisors of maintenance and safety issues

Requirements:

• Completion of High School Diploma or GED

• Physical and mental ability to perform cleaning tasks

• Good interpersonal skills for school community interaction

• Willingness to work evenings and adjust shifts as needed

• Experience in janitorial or related roles is beneficial
