Position: Full-Time Collection Systems Operator Apprentice
Halifax Water is seeking a Regular Full-Time Collection Systems Operator Apprentice. Engage in critical maintenance and repair of stormwater and sanitary systems.

In this full-time position at Halifax Water, the apprentice will assist in the operations of collection systems. Candidates must be Grade 12 graduates with two years of related experience, including a clean Class 5 Nova Scotia Drivers' license. Certification as an Operator-in-Training is essential, with arrangements made for the exam within your first six months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct cleaning and maintenance of water infrastructure

• Operate vehicles and equipment safely for various tasks

• Manage emergency repairs of sanitation systems

• Participate in meeting the operational goals set by Halifax Water

• Work effectively in confined spaces and all weather

Requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent

• Valid Class 5 Nova Scotia Drivers' license

• Relevant two years of work experience

• Willingness to gain certification in six months

• Capability to operate tools in diverse conditions
