The Planner is the liaison between Project Management & Manufacturing through Operations Planning for optimal Production. The Planner is responsible for coordination of manufacturing orders, material planning & capacity planning, including order supervision for accuracy of timely customer delivery. The role involves critical path analysis, monitoring of completion of assigned project tasks, regular updates and presentation of KPIs.

Job Description Summary of RoleThe Planner is the liaison between Project Management & Manufacturing through Operations Planning for optimal Production. The Planner is responsible for coordination of manufacturing orders, material planning & capacity planning, including order supervision for accuracy of timely customer delivery. The role involves critical path analysis, monitoring of completion of assigned project tasks, regular updates and presentation of KPIs.
Key Responsibilities- Organize weekly Planning meetings with Project Managers in advance of Production to ensure scheduled capacity requirements, milestone dates and priorities are all met for upcoming manufacturing.
- Weekly presentation of KPIs for Manufacturing & Project Teams including Daily Manufacturing metrics, Labour & Machine Load, Material Availability as well as any additional reporting needed in the Operations Planning function.
- Ensure timely communication of the weekly plan as well as any changes or anomalies with scheduling, to key stakeholders such as Procurement, Manufacturing and Commercial teams, among others.
- Ensures Manufacturing Shop Orders are scheduled in advance, material is available, Plan of the Week targets met, and Project Material Transfers executed.
- Shop Order maintenance including, monitoring and accuracy of dates, quantities, shop order material shortfalls and routing changes as updated by Manufacturing Engineering.
- Shop Order Cost review and maintenance within expected target.
- Production Documentation release for Manufacturing.
- Routine auditing of sub-assembly WIP and inventory through Manufacturing, addressing discrepancies with owners.
- Management of Component Repair Order to meet delivery targets as set-out by Project teams.
- Application of design changes or deviations, as a result of an approved Engineering Configuration Change, to affected firm or firm fixed planned assemblies, ensuring MRP connection.
- Timely release of Demand driven Purchase Requisition s to Schedule.
- Regular maintenance of Project driven demands in alignment with Project Team requirements.
- Support Quality Assurance with the accuracy of the As-Built configuration in accordance with Customer expectation.
- Participate & provide feedback for Material Review Board actions when required.
- High Analytical, Organizational, & Time Management skills
