Part-Time Tactical Security Hospital

Become a part-time Tactical Security Officer at Dartmouth General Hospital.

Your role will focus on providing security support and managing crises within the Emergency Department.

As a critical team member, you'll monitor patient interactions, assist during emergencies, and utilize your de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts. This position requires physical stamina and strong communication skills while working closely with clinical teams to maintain a safe environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor Emergency Department for security threats

• Engage with emergency situations effectively

• Assist medical staff with aggressive patients

• Ensure with patient watch protocols as needed

• Document security incidents thoroughly

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of security experience preferred

• Required First Aid and CPR Level C certificates

• Completion of Grade 12 or GED equivalent

• Must obtain Nova Scotia Security License

• Training in Use of Force and Aggressive Behavior Management is an asset
