North End Community Health Centre invites an MSW Social Worker dedicated to diverse populations in Nova Scotia. Focus on harm reduction and recovery support for tenants facing addiction and social challenges.

In this vital role, the Clinical Social Worker will predominantly serve at the Overlook Supportive Housing program. Your expertise in advanced social work practices, combined with a commitment to equity and social justice, will enable you to address the needs of complex individuals. Work collaboratively in an interprofessional setting, providing assessments, conducting therapeutic interventions, and navigating systemic barriers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for tenants

• Facilitate access to culturally appropriate healthcare and housing resources

• Implement and evaluate various therapeutic interventions

• Support interprofessional collaboration for integrated care

• Offer crisis support and guidance in challenging situations

Requirements:

• Completed Master of Social Work from an accredited program

• Current registration with the NSCSW

• Minimum of 2 years' clinical experience

• Familiarity with DSM-V and best practices in mental health

• Understanding of intersectional approaches to social work
