Your role will encompass safety assessments, support planning, and community engagement.
This impactful position requires you to assess risks, advocate for children and families, and develop comprehensive case plans. You will work as part of a dedicated team addressing child protection and participate in evaluations and court testimonies. Expect involvement with the Provincial After-Hours Response Team, requiring flexibility and travel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess child safety concerns thoroughly
• Collaborate and support families in their needs
• Plan and supervise care for children
• Participates in court testimonies and evaluations
• Foster connections to community resources
Requirements:
• Master’s in Social Work or relevant Bachelor’s degree with experience
• Valid driver’s license necessary
• Eligible for NS College of Social Workers registration
• Encouragement for current students with experience
• Knowledge of effective intervention strategies
Drive meaningful change within the community by leveraging your skills in child welfare and family support.
