Position: Firmware Developer Level 2 Role
Join Kraken Robotics as a Firmware Developer Level 2, based in Mount Pearl, NL or Dartmouth, NS, with potential for remote work. Engage in firmware innovations for the KATFISH™ underwater platform utilized in mining and surveying.

In this intermediate role, you will be part of a dynamic Firmware team, tasked with developing low-level firmware and optimizing drivers for various hardware interfaces. Your contributions will enhance Kraken’s advanced underwater technology and involve close collaboration with Electrical and Systems Engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop low-level firmware components for Kraken products

• Optimize drivers for various peripheral interfaces

• Write maintainable C/C++ code for resource-constrained systems

• Collaborate on embedded feature validation and design

• Document firmware and system components comprehensively

Requirements:

• Demonstrable track record in firmware development

• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience

• Experience with Arm Cortex-M microcontrollers or embedded Linux

• Proficiency in C++ and Git version control

• Familiarity with testing and debugging tools
