Firmware Developer Position

Position: Kraken Robotics Firmware Developer Position
Advance your career with Kraken Robotics as a Firmware Developer Level 2, located in Mount Pearl, NL, Dartmouth, NS, or potentially remote. Join a team dedicated to creating firmware for industry-leading underwater systems.

This role requires an intermediate skill level in firmware development. You will engage in coding, testing, and collaborating with multi-discipline teams to ensure robust performance of Kraken’s KATFISH™ Intelligent Towed SAS System. Your work will directly impact the effectiveness of mine detection and hydrographic surveying technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Code and maintain low-level firmware for Kraken products

• Develop optimized drivers for DMA, UART, SPI, CAN, I²C

• Create clean and efficient C++ and C code

• Collaborate with engineering teams for system design

• Write high-quality documentation for firmware features

Requirements:

• Proven firmware skills in real-world applications

• Degree in Computer, Electrical, or Software Engineering

• Experience with Arm Cortex-M or embedded Linux systems

• Strong proficiency in C++, CMake, and Git

• Experience with testing methodologies and debugging tools
